Queens: North Hempstead Turn - Main Street

North Hempstead Turnpike, north side, between Main Street (left) and 140th Street (right), showing an old house occupied by the following. A. Remsen, 1860; J. Clark, 1873 to 1896; H. Elliot, 1891; and also one John Sharkey. Eugene Armbruster states these views of the house show it at its new location. However, the Queens Atlas of 1891 shows the house at the N.E. corner of Remsen Ave. (Jaggar Street and Ireland Mill Road, now North Hempstead Turnpike).
