Manhattan: West Street - Barrow Street

West Street, east side, south from Barrow to Morton St's., showing the block extending to Washington St. more or less cleared. Across the New York Central Railroad elevated roadbed (west side) appear loft structures on the east side of Washington Street. The 8 story building, No. 617-31 Washington St., is occupied by Bellas, Hess & Co. This utilizes the entire frontage from Barrow to Morton St's. At the S.E. corner of the latter thoroughfare, is the 9 story loft, No. 611-15 Washington St. identified with the Medical Supply Dept. of the U. S. Army. May 7, 1940 No's. 1-2 P. L. Sperr
