A general view northward (in No. 1) and eastward (No's 2 and 3) from the Whitehall Building at Battery Place and West Street, to show (in the first instance) the roof tops of the Syrian quarter and the office structures surrounding same. The latter are grouped around Bowling Green with the pyramidal Standard Oil Building doubly depicted. Beyond is the East River and the Borough of Brooklyn.
