Manhattan: 37th Street (East) - 2nd Avenue

308 E. 37th Street, south side, east of Second Avenue, showing the final stages of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church. This parish, established in 1860 is being demolished in the execution of plans for the plaza approach to the new Midtown Tunnel under the East River. Note the Parochial school to the rear.
