Manhattan: Central Park - The Drive.
Central Park: The Drive, connecting link between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, showing 59th Street, west from and including Seventh Avenue. The Manufacturers' Trust Building in the background is at 307 West 59th Street, adjoining Columbus Circle; it used to be the Gotham National Bank Building. The branch to the left leads to the Sixth Avenue entrance; and the branch in the lower right hand side of the picture leads north to the Mall, where it joins the driveway from the Fifth Avenue entrance and forms the East Drive. Since the date of this picture that branch has been reserved for one-way traffic, going north; and the connecting link shown here is used by eastbound cars exclusively, whether bound for Sixth Avenue or for the East Drive.
