Manhattan: Broadway - Houston Street (West)

Broadway, west side, at West Houston Street, showing a clearance at the S.W. corner of same, which was occupied by 2 buildings, Nos. 609-605 and 603 Broadway. Remaining is the 12-story Ayer Building (left) No. 599, which was adjoining the demolished structures. On the right appears a part of the Cable Building, No. 611-621 Broadway, a 9-story structure at the N.W. corner. This view is photographed in a southwestward direction from Crosby Street and shows clearances in the foreground on both sides of East Houston Street. February 21, 1932 P. L. Sperr.
