(1) Thanksgiving Ragamuffins, 1933, No. 64: 59th Street at Columbus Circle. These ragamuffins really are colored. This block, from Columbus Circle to Ninth Avenue, is part of the "San Juan Hill" negro colony, in the west 60's around Amsterdam Avenue and west to the river. November 30, 1933. P. L. Sperr. (2) No. 65. Staten Island, on the grounds of the U. S. Government Quarantine Station near Fort Wadsworth, on the east side of the Island.
