Manhattan: 5th Avenue - 33rd Street

This building was later demolished and on its site was erected in 1931, the Empire State Building. A new 47-story building was erected for the hotel on the east side of Park Ave., from East 49th to East 50th Streets and extending to Lexington Ave. The Waldorf-Astoria is New York's foremost hotel.
