General view - [Manhattan - 34th Street (West) - Pennsylvania building.]

241 W. 34th Street, (Pennsylvania Building), north side, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. (general view southward.). A perspective over the Pennsylvania Railroad station. Surrounding same are numerous loft structures lying to the south of this point. In the left foreground are, the 22 story Equitable Life Assurance Co. Building, the 31 story Hotel Governor Clinton and a 16 story loft structure (No. 362-78 Seventh Avenue). Adjoining the latter are low buildings comprising the Church and School of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. The smokestack at the right is atop the Pennsylvania Railroad power house.
