A general view northward from the General Motors Building (Broadway, west to Eighth Ave. and West 57th north to 58th Streets). This view shows Columbus Circle (foreground), Broadway (left), Central Park West (center), and Central Park (right). Construction work for the Eighth Ave. Subway is shown in two places; on the east side of Central Park West and at the foot of the statue of Christopher Columbus in the center of the Circle. Note the Maine Monument at the Park entrance. Across the top of the view (left), appears the Hudson River, with its Palisades (Jersey shore). About 1932. Brown Brothers.
