Manhattan: Wall Street - Nassau Street

Wall Street, adjoining the N. E. corner of Nassau Street, showing the old U. S. Assay Office occupying this site. It was demolished in 1916 and portions removed to the American wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Bank of Manhattan Building includes this location today. A new Assay Office building was erected at South Street and Old Slip. Prior to 1916 Gift of Urbrock Collection
