Manhattan: 6th Avenue - 52nd Street (West)

Sixth Avenue, west side, north from W. 52nd to 53rd Streets, showing a clearance at the near corner. Under construction here is the underground bend in the 6th Avenue Subway. From this point it will run eastward under 53rd Street. Views 2 and 3 are limited to this feature. Overhead on the Avenue is the old "El" line. This will be torn down in 1938-9.
