Manhattan: Centre Street - Leonard Street

Centre Street, east side, north from Leonard Street (foreground of No. 1 and the vantage point of No. 2), showing the new Criminal Courts and Prison Building under construction. This will occupy a plot bounded by Centre, Leonard, Baxter and White (buildings shown upon same) Streets and will have four wings. It will be a 17 story structure containing 2P court rooms and have its main entrance on Centre Street. The prison wing will be 16 stories and will house 1,O90 inates. This will be the northerly wing and will be separated from the courts by an open court yard. The structure partiaily seen at the right of View No. 1 is the New York State Building.
