Manhattan: Lafayette Street - Broome Street

Lafayette Street (Elm Street), north from a point between Broome (not shown) and Spring Streets, showing the street being excavated in preparation for the construction of the Interborough Transit Co. (I.R.T.) subway. Lafayette Street was created by the joining of Elm Street; which terminated at a point slightly south of Jersey Street with Lafayette Place, which commenced at Great Jones Street.
