Manhattan: Hanover Square - Water Street

Hanover Square, west from (where man is seen crossing the street, in the foreground) and including Water, to and including Beaver Streets, showing (left) the 7-story W.R. Grace & Co. Building, a portion of the South Ferry division of the Second and Third Aves. Elevated lines running on Pearl Street, and across it the 3-story India House and the 11-story Maritime Agency Building. On the right, across the elevated structure, is visible a portion of the New York Cotton Exchange Building. The foreground is Old Slip, which actually, is a continuation of Hanover Square eastward to the East River. The 7-story Arbuckle Building appears at the S.E. corner of Water Street. On the right is the south wall of Hook and Ladder No. 15 of the Fire Dept. About 1920. Ewing Galloway.
