Brooklyn: Fulton Street - Water Street

Fulton Street, at the East River and Water Street, showing the fire tug landing of the New York City Fire Department; to the left is the I. R. T. elevated terminal. Shown, too, is a dump truck dumping a load of earth and broken concrete over the top of the bank. The dumped material is sliding down to the street level--and not into the river, as one might be led to believe--where it is picked up by a clam shell bucket and loaded into another truck for further disposal.
