Manhattan: 51st Street (West) - 6th Avenue

West 51st Street, south side, west from a point slightly west of Sixth, to Seventh Aves., showing a further portion of the New York Railroad carbarn under demolition. West of same appears the Roxy Theatre and the Hotel Manger (Hotel Taft, 1938), both located upon what in 1925 was occupied by a similar structure to that shown under destruction. At that date the entire block appears as a carbarn. In 1938, the now being cleared site, will remain vacant. This set consists of a negative and a positive. December 12, 1927. F. M. Demarest.
