Queens: 19th Avenue - Hazen Street

19th Avenue, south side, east from Hazen Street, showing part of this old Bowery Bay section and the trolley tracks which led to North Beach. Fenced in is the old Rapelye family burying-ground on the other side of which is one of the Rapelye homes, a colonial structure. The house fronts on 19th Road, the old Bowery Bay Road. The funnel in the background is part of an old pumping station, just this side of the boundary between Long Island City and Newtown. 19th Avenue is the former Riker Avenue. Views 1,2: Eugene L.
