(1) Proctor's Theatre, 139-145 West 23rd Street and adjoining buildings, 23rd Street, north side, between Sixth and Seventh Avenue. Proctor's was famous in the days when 23rd Street was the theatrical centre. It opened on March 5, 1888 and is still standing, although today it is used for motion pictures. June 16, 1928 P.L.
