Manhattan: 23rd Street (East) - Lexington Avenue
129 to 115 East 23rd Street, adjoining and west of the N.W. corner of Lexington Avenue, showing the newly constructed Gramercy Theatre (movie) at No. 129-27. Note the new location of the O'Brien Stationary Company which was formerly at No. 150. An explosion of great force occurred in the month of October, 1938, caused by the ignition of vapors in the cleaning establishment adjoining the theatre.
