Manhattan: Park Avenue - 48th Street

Park Avenue, west side, from 48th to 50th Streets, during the middle of the work of rebuilding the Grand Central Terminal and Yards. The observer is near Lexington Avenue a little south of 49th Street, which crosses the Upper Level yards at the right. The nearest of the old buildings on the north side of 49th Street is 49 East 49th Street. The yards have been rebuilt about as far west as what will be the western side of Park Avenue when the tracks are covered over. July, 1909. Ewing Galloway.
