Manhattan: Bowery - Delancey Street

169-163 Bowery, east side, south of Delancey Street, showing Miner's Bowery Theatre, (165-167) which was known around 1920, as the Royal Theatre. Also seen is the Third Ave., Elevated Lines. About 1890. International News Photos. The theatre after falling into disrepair was demolished around 1934 and has been replaced by a business structure since. The New York Sun of May 6, 1938, in a list of demolitions reports that the 5-story building (No. 163) adjoining same on the right, is to have its complete front altered.
