Manhattan : 6th Avenue - Bleecker Street.

Sixth Avenue, east side, north from Bleecker Street, showing that odd corner formed by Minetta Street (right) and Minetta Lane (left). Nestling here was the former Minetta Place. This would be about where the tool shacks appear. Most of the buildings are gOne, though two remain, No's. 20 and 22 Minetta Street. The vacant space to the left of these is to be the site of a new 6-story apartment house according to the New York Times of December 16, 1939. Across this cleared site are buildings on the north side of Minetta Lane. Towering above are apartments on Washington Square. Behind the sign board on the right is the peculiar bend in Minetta Street. April 13, 1940 Views 1,2 P. L.
