Manhattan: Wall Street - Broadway

Nos, 2-6 Wall Street, at the N.E. corner of Broadway as viewed across the Irving Trust Co. Building site. This structure, erected in 1880, is occupied by the First National Bank, tho constructed for the National Bank of the Republic, when it was better known as "Fort Sherman." For details see King's Handbook of New York 1893, page 724. The photographer gives his vantage points as the Stock Exchange (No.1) and the Empire Building (No. 2).
