Manhattan: 38th Street (West) - 10th Avenue

West 38th Street (immediate foreground) north side, east of Tenth Avenue, showing an extensive demolition in a progressive arrangement north-eastward, in a series of 3 views. No. 1 discloses what the writer believes to be the rears of No's. 452 and 450 W. 39th Street; No. 2, the rear of No. 436 W. 39th Street; and No. 3, the rear of No. 426-24 W. 39th Street. Across the latter appears the huge McGraw-Hill Bldg. on W. 42nd Street. This demolition was necessitated by the Lincoln Tunnel construction which will have its entrance here. March 18, 1938.
