Manhattan: Pleasant Avenue - 115th Street

Pleasant Avenue, at 115th Street, seen from clearing behind the S.E. corner of 115th Street, former site of the Standard Gas Light Company's tanks. At 447 East 115th Street, adjoining the buildings on the N.W. corner, is the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, which has occupied the site since around 1880; it is an Italian Roman Catholic parish.
