Queens: Newton Road - 47th Street

47-01 Newtown Road, at the N.E. corner of 47th Street, showing an old house, typical of late nineteenth century construction. In rear of it, on 48th Street, is an old farmhouse. Later views show also the rear of the new William Cullen Bryant High School. 47th Street is in the foreground. The house was owned by J. Murphy in 1873. P. L.
