Hospitals - Bellevue Hospital - [Old buildings under demolition.]

Bellevue Hospital: A set of three views showing the old buildings under demolition. These are on the east side of First Ave; the photographer standing on the opposite side at East 27th Street. From right to left, they are the Administration Building (former House of Refuge); the nurses and doctors (residential) wing, which was formerly a prison and the Chapel. Encircling same are modern hospital structures which in the same order are: the Out Patient Building, the new Administration Building and Tubercular Ward, several ward buildings and finally the Medical Examiners and Hospital Office Building; the latter containing the Morgue.
