Manhattan: 125th Street (West) - Broadway

West 125th (Manhattan) Street, east from Broadway (photographers vantage point being the elevated station at that point), showing an old thoroughfare which was formerly Manhattan Street and intersected Bloomingdale Road in the immediate foreground. Old Broadway, a thoroughfare that is not to be confused with Broadway is the street at the left and follows the line of the afore mentioned road. Close scrutiny will show the observer several of the old frame houses still standing and which remain from the days when this area was a village, known as Manhattanville. (q.v.) July 1913. George L.
