Manhattan: Park Row - Beekman Street

Park Row, east side, north across Beekman Street, showing an early view of the publishing center, popularly known as "Printing House Square". At the left is the terminus of Nassau Street, with it's intersecting Frankfort Street. Note the "Sun" occupying the former Tammany Hotel. This, effected in 1868 and the obvious construction of the old U. S. Post Office (photographers vantage point) in 1869 dates this photo. 1868-70 Gift of Urbrock Collection
