Manhattan: 8th Avenue - 52nd Street (West)

Eighth Avenue, north from W. 52nd Street, showing the Sixth Avenue "El" running easterly and westerly on W. 53rd Street. The house-like structures thereupon is its Eighth Avenue station. This will be one of the first portions of this line to be demolished. Underneath same in the background appears the Columbus monument in Columbus Circle.
