Manhattan: Broadway - 129th Street (West)

The village post Office, located at the S.E. corner of Old Broadway (right) and West 129th Street (left). This office was discontinued in July 1863 and George W. Bromleys Atlas of 1879 shows a similar office on the east side of this thoroughfare, midway between West 129th and 130th Streets. A. James Doyle was Postmaster of the office shown, from October 6, 1851 to April 9, 1861. Unknown date.
