Manhattan: 37th Street - 2nd Avenue

East 37th Street, north side (buildings thereupon), west from Second Avenue, showing the Murray Hill Industrial High School, the New York Telephone Co. building and the Jarcho Brothers Warehouse. To the left of the latter appears the upper portion of the dominant lo E. 40th Street Building. Above the school is the spired Chrysler Building. The vacant lot shown at the S.W. corner will be excavated to provide the extrance site to the Midtown-Queens Tunnel under the East River. The Industrial High School was formerly P. S. 49.
