Manhattan: 6th Avenue - 20th Street (West)

Sixth Avenue, east side, south from West 20th Street. Shown at the N. E. corner of 20th Street is the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion. The block front below consists of the Cam-meyer and the Alexander Buildings. The 19th to 18th Streets front-age is taken up with the former Seigel-Cooper Department Store building. View 2 is limited to the 21st to 20th Street block that contains the aforementioned church. Note the absence of the old 6th Avenue "El" line. This was demolished in 1939.
