Brooklyn: Court Street - Joralemon Street

Court Street, east side, south from Joralemon to Livingston Streets. In the foreground is the Washington Building, erected about 1851 and torn down in 1924, behind which is a small municipal park. The building with the sloping roof is the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute on Livingston Street. The Washington Building and the three buildings contiguous to it were later torn down and the Municipal Building erected on the site. The other structures are still standing in 1929. Eugene L.
