Queens: Springfield Boulevard - 73rd Avenue

Springfield Boulevard, west side, between 73rd and 75th Aves., showing in a set of four views a dilapidated house which housed C. Backus in 1860. In 1873 it was on the N.W. corner of Granger Ave. (now gone) and Rocky Hill Road. In 1891, A. H. Richie controlled 2506 acres in this area including this house and surrounding land. January 1923.
