Brooklyn: Utica Ave. - Kings Hwy.

Utica Ave., west side, south of King's Highway, showing the Garret Kouwenhoven farm house, occupied by him from 1860 to 1873. This house, which was destroyed by fire in 1925, stood on part of lands thought to have comprised the Kouwenhoven private estate on the Great Flat which was devised by Willem Willemsen in 1769 to his son Garrett. At the left, is seen the Mrs. James Ditmars farm-house, west of Utica Ave., and east of King's Highway, occupied by Mrs.. James Ditmars from 1860 to 1873. March 1923, Eugene L.
