Manhattan: William Street - Beaver Street

22 William Street, east side, from Beaver Street to Exchange Place, showing the lower portion of the 59-storied City Bank Farmers Trust Co. occupying this entire block and known by the above location. This view is in a southward direction and shows fortress like square structure of the National City Bank in the foreground which also borders on this street. Photographers vantage point was the 70-storied Bank of Manhattan Building, at No. 40 Wall Street, which permitted a perspective of the confluence of the East and North Rivers, at the Upper Bay; the latter with Governors Island therein.
