Manhattan: 5th Avenue - Washington Square

Fifth Avenue, west side, north from Washington Square, seen through Washington Arch. The day on which this exposure was made was gratifyingly clear. The Empire State Building, the tallest building in the world, at 34th Street, stands out well, and even 500 Fifth Avenue, at the N.W. corner of 42nd Street, can be plainly discerned. July 17, 1934.
