Manhattan: Union Square (East) - Between 15th and 16th Streets.

20-34 Union Square East, from 15th to 16th Streets, with a portion of the park (which was drastically remodelled, 1929-30) in the foreground. The Union Square Savings Bank, 20-22 Union Square on the 15th Street corner, was erected between 1902 and 1910. The 11-story Reliance Building was also erected at the same time, replacing an old 4-story house. 34 Union Square on the corner of 16th Street, was built prior to 1890. Old 24, 26-8, and 30 have been taken over since 1930 and remodelled by S. Klein; another story has been added to 24. See 1930 views of these three buildings. P. L. Sperr. February 24, 1933.
