Bronx: White Plains Road - 240th Street (East)

(1) 4626 to 4640 White Plains Road, east side, between East 240th and East 241st Streets. The large stone and wood house, No. 4626-4628, is the Nereid Fire Co. House. The latter, no longer in existence in 1937, ran the length of the two houses shown, and connected White Plains Road (left) with Garden Place (the latter, too, is no longer in existence at this date).
