Celebrations - Parades.

New York went mad over its own Trudy as it turned out to welcome her when she arrived today on the S.S. Berengaria. The mobs became so demonstrative and enthusiastic over the champion channel swimmer that they completely choked up Broadway and for some time "Trudy" was unable to proceed on up to City Hall. Photo shows a general view of the crowds which thronged up Broadway as Trudy's car drove up Broadway to City Hall. 8/27/1926 Wide World Photos
