Queens: Metropolitan Avenue - 70th Avenue

Metropolitan Avenue, north side, west from Seventieth Avenue (formerly Herrick Avenue), showing in four views in the foreground the house and outbuildings of J. Vanderveer. In view No. 1 in the background is seen the home of Col. Hunt. Views 2, 3, and 4 shows the store barn of the Vanderveer family which was erected in 1850. In the 1929 Queens Atlas the buildings seen in these views no longer appear.
