Manhattan: 5th Avenue - 35th Street

Fifth Avenue, north across 35th Street, showing an early view of this arterial thoroughfare at the start of its transition from a residential nature to a business street. In the center is the then dominant Brick Presbyterian Church at the N. W. corner of 37th Street. The spires in the distance are atop the Church of the Divine Paternity (45th St.) and the Collegiate Reformed Protestant Dutch Church (48th St.). About 1890 Gift of Urbrock Collection
