Queens: Queens Boulevard - 54th Avenue

Queens Boulevard, at the S.E. corner of 54th Ave, showing the Presbyterian First Church of Newtown, erected 1893, which replaced the old wooden edifice across the street (view 3, right). Views 2,3 and 4 show the granite church structure moved back to its new site to allow for the widening of Queens Boulevard. Note that the steeple has been removed.
