Manhattan: Washington Street - Houston Street (West)

Washington Street, north from W. Houston Street, showing mainly the west side of this thoroughfare. In the foreground are a row of stables extending to Clarkson Street. In 1930 these buildings will be razed for the St. Johns Park Freight Terminal; this site being the proposed northern portion of same. Buildings north of Clarkson Street will be demolished at same time and the elevated roadbed of the New York Central Railroad erected there.
