Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua.

(1) Feast of St. Anthony of Padua, 1925, No. 1. The tower, at rest in 106th Street east of First Avenue, Saturday of Labor Day week-end. A new tower is built for this feast each September. This year the tower is surmounted by a statue of St. Michael treading on the Devil. September 5, 1925. P. L. Sperr. (2) No. 2. Rear view of the tower, in the final stages of construction; it is standing on 106th Street at First Avenue, facing west. The rear of the tower will be covered with paper flowers. September 5, 1925. P. L. Sperr. (3) No. 3. A life-size statue of St. Anthony, with offerings of dollar bills pinned to his robe and to the Child's clothes. This is the statue pictured in 1924, 1927, and 1930. In this view it is standing in front of 323-325 East 106th Street. The parading of this statue through the streets is the annual feature of Saturday's festivities. September 5, 1925. P. L. Sperr.
