Manhattan: Broadway - Cortlandt Street

Broadway, west side, north from a point midway between Cortland and Dey Streets, across the latter to Fulton Street and showing the ornate Western Union Telegraph Co. Building at the N. W. corner of Broadway and Dey Street. This structure after several vicissitudes was finally demolished and replaced with a 28-story structure in 1913. About 1875 Gift of H.D. Jouett (2) The same at a later date, and showing a more extensive view up Broadway. To the right are, St. Pauls Chapel and the old Astor House. Close observation will disclose the 2-story addition to the fourth structure from the left. This adjoins the building at the S. W. corner of Dey Street. About 1885 Gift of Urbrock Collection
