Manhattan: Wall Street - Broad Street

Wall Street, west across Broad & Nassau Streets, to Broadway. At the latter point appears the dominant (then) feature, Trinity Church. at the right margin are the steps of the U. S. Sub Treasury prior to the erection of the Washington statue there in 1883. Beyond same is a five story building at the N. W. corner of Nassau Street. This was increased two stories in height and became the Manhattan Trust Co. The structure on the left center housing "Kiernan's" is the predecessor of the Wilks Building.
