Queens: Queens Boulevard - 57th Avenue

Queens Boulevard (tracks thereon) at and adjoining the S.W. corner of Fifty-seventh Avenue. Shown at the corner is the home of Samuel Reune in 1776 which was also known as the Bretoni ers' house. It was remodelled in 1865 by J. Van Riper, a builder. The hip roof was converted to that seen in the views. This builder also believes that the structure adjoining it was the first Baptist Church building of Newtown.
